Braidwood Arts Centre
Monday 1.30-3pm
This 90 minute class incorporates gentle flowing movements and steady postures from a combination of traditions. Physical poses are practiced to release tightness and tension in the body, breathing practices to bring balance to the mind and nervous system, relaxation and meditation to create peace of mind, focus and clarity. Classes aim to develop and balance all aspects of one’s being – body, mind, emotions and psyche. They can be practiced by anyone, regardless of age, ability or fitness level.

Braidwood Arts Centre – Childrens Yoga
Monday 3.30-4.15pm
This is a 45 minute class designed for children aged 3-8. Classes begin with a series of energetic and vitalising poses, complementing the physical benefits of traditional school sports and helping them to channel their energy in a positive and self-supporting way. The children are also taught breathing exercises as a method to calm and quiet the mind – offering invaluable skills for everyday life. A relaxation practice concludes each class, helping to help them balance and focus for the rest of their day. Kids’ yoga is fabulous for increasing flexibility, balance, strength and coordination; building self-esteem, focus and concentration; and supporting healthy childhood development.

This 75 minute class incorporates gentle flowing movements and steady postures from a combination of traditions.
