Anand Ashram Ubud, Bali
During our 5 night yoga retreat we will be staying in the beautiful and spiritual hub, Anand Ashram. Located 3 km from the heart of Ubud and surrounded by rice fields, Anand Ashram provides a peaceful environment and tranquil space perfect for cultivating YOU time.
How is this retreat different to others?
Christina toured Bali for retreat locations extensively resolving to find somewhere unique and special to offer more than just a yoga retreat. After many venue trials, she undoubtedly chose the ashram. Why? You may wonder... Anand Ashram is a place of sadhana (dedicated practice). The residents and locals that visit are living yoga. Everyday spiritual practices and rituals are performed at the Ashram to connect and honor Divinity. It's not about religion or sect, faith or belief systems, the Ashram is about seeking of Truth and Union - in essence yoga.
The ashram is not a 5-star resort. It is paramount. The energetic 'feel,' from the daily chanting, meditation, fire ceremonies and prayers go beyond a Westernized and image based hotel. This retreat is definitely a one-of-a-kind - where else in the world can you swim in a Mantra and crystal energized pool?!
Rooms and facilities
Bali’s natural beauty remains a part of Anand’s grounds. The luscious gardens and views of green, fertile rice paddies capture the Balinese landscape and this tropical paradise in a glance. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable, each containing a fan, toilet, shower and wi-fi. There is a spiritual library with an abundance of books and yogic texts to peruse. The Bodhichitta Meditation Hall sanctifies one's entire being from all the yogic activity. The Global Harmony Monument, one of Ubud's must-see attractions, is the Ashram's pride and joy. This statue symbolizes that we are all One and that the roadmap to Global Harmony begin with Inner Peace.
